EIPS is recruiting a term certain full-time Systems Analyst I - Permission Click with our Information Technologies department.

EIPS Central Administration building is located in Sherwood Park, at 683 Wye Road. Providing services for the division, Central administration is comprised of eight departments, in addition to the Board of Trustees. The departments include Education Executive, Communication Services, Facility Services, Student Transportation, Human Resources, Financial Services, Supports for Students, and Information Technologies.

Commencing January 4, 2023

Ending September 1, 2023

Working 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day)

FUNCTION AND PURPOSE

The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide support and training to schools and departments in Elk Island Public Schools around the Permission Click division forms platform.

Application Support and Training - Division Forms

Promptly prioritizing, problem-solving and directly communicating problems and resolutions.

Document, track, and classify incidents in the IT JIRA ServiceDesk platform.

Instruct school office staff on the appropriate use of the form’s platform

Provide regular training and documentation for school office staff on supported systems.

Build capacity with school and central office staff by mentoring individuals, maintaining community, and standardizing practice wherever possible

Support school and division staff with the records management component of forms in alignment with the work of the IT Records Management Coordinator

Create and maintain updated documentation related to support procedures and solutions

Form Development

Liaise with the school office and central department working groups and assist in developing forms

Testing and deploying developed forms

Review and revision of forms in production for version 2.0 release

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

Post-secondary education in computing science or a related discipline

Technical diploma in a computer-related area at a recognized institution or equivalent experience.

Experience

Minimum of one year of directly applicable experience or equivalent

A combination of education and experience will be considered, i.e., a diploma in a related field from a technical institution plus years of experience.
