Job Details

Position Type: Full Time - 40 hours per week.

**Salary**: $27 - $32 per hour.

Deliverables- Ensure the guidelines and policies outlined in the Family TownHouse (FTH) Booklet are followed and adhered to.-
- Answer inquiries about the FTH to family members, staff, and outside organizations.- Liaise with identified support organizations such as the Ministry of Children and Families Development to complete necessary paperwork.- Ensure the procedures checklist is followed-
- Follow up with ACEH Family Members to ask about their stay and how we can improve our processes.- Review safety policies and procedures as per the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Joint Committee, Public Health Orders, as well as ACEH defined procedures- Connect Family Members with identified supports to encourage a healthy and safe stay at the FTH.-
- Support Family Members who may require additional steps to be taken to be approved.- Create promotional materials and information packages to support knowledge sharing and use of FTH within the ACEH and to outside organizations who support ACEH Family Members.- Ensure that ACEH Policies and Procedures are adhered to and in the event that the FTH rules are not being respected, follow due process and evict users from the space (with the guidance and direction of the Director of Housing and the Executive Director).- Network with the Outreach and Community Relations Manager and House Managers in planning and delivery.- Respond to referrals / outreach regarding Family Reunification as directed by your supervisor (ED).- Provide 'supervised' visits when required and approved by the Executive Director which may require from time-to-time overnight stays (specifics will be developed in consultation with senior management and the Executive Director).- Coordinate cleaning, maintenance and repairs as required; dry-cleaning where needed; laundry (bedding, towels, etc.) after each stay.- Manage keys / return of keys.- Relationship building with the Culturally Supportive House, House of Courage, SPAKEN House, and Westshore Cohorts.- Shop for and replenish core condiments and PPE as needed.- Proposal and grant writing.- Data collection for key program indicators and development- Case management when needed.
- Other duties as required by the Director of Housing, Director of Operations and Program Development, and the Executive Director.

Education/ Experience- Experience working with Indigenous peoples and an awareness of the impacts of colonization is required- Minimum 1 year of management and budget oversight experience required- Experience or personal insights into working cooperatively and non
- judgmentally with people with disabilities, lived experience, addictions, etc. is required- Experience working with non-profit organizations, family support, social services, and/or chronic homelessness is considered an asset- First aid and food safe requirements
- ** Required to have class 5 drivers license and working vehicle.**

Skills & Abilities- Progressive understanding of persistent mental illness, addictions, and other challenges and how these impact people’s overall health, well-being, and quality of life- Ability to work in a holistic, professional, and non-judgmental manner as you are working with a broad range of personalities, needs, cultures, lived experiences and abilities- Ability to effectively respond and adjust to unexpected events, assess high risk situations, problem-solve, provide crisis intervention, and manage conflict in a culturally supportive manner- Ability to work independently and effectively respond to and manage competing demands while adhering to deadlines within a fast-paced environment- Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication skills- Sound understanding of the intergenerational trauma that occurs as a result of colonization, Residential Schools, Sixties Scoop, and other oppressive systems as well as the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada- Current First Aid and CPR certification are required- Possession of valid Class 5 Driver's License required.
