**Why this Job is Important**:
Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the Manager of Accounting and Finance will lead President’s Choice Financial and Services (PCF&S) accounting operations including, but not limited to, the financial close, financial reporting, and the accounting internal control function.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Lead the financial close process and reporting on the financial position of PCF&S against various financial benchmarks
- Lead the general accounting functions, including inter-company transactions, reconciliations, payments, general ledger maintenance, and accounting for complex transactions in compliance with IFRS
- Prepare monthly and periodic financial reporting packages
- Drive continuous improvement in the financial control environment through the implementation of best practices
- Liaise with business partners to help solve problems, support new initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in the accounting process
- Provide guidance and coaching to the team of financial analysts and identify training opportunities to help facilitate the achievement of the team’s objectives and independent development goals
- Champion PCF&S and the broader enterprise DE&I and core values
- Support the various internal control and risk functions
**What You’ll Need**:
- Completion of a CPA designation or in the advanced stages of the program
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions and across companies within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Experience with managing multiple deliverables with conflicting deadlines
- Strong technical skills (IFRS, SAP, Excel)
- Strong continuous improvement mindset and the ability to drive process change
- Strong attention to detail
