**Responsibilities**:
***Operations**
- Oversees the development, monitoring, evaluation and measurement of the division's programs and services to ensure they achieve goals and outcomes that are aligned with the goals of the Reconciliation and Inclusion Plan
- Provides project management of various campus projects seeking to include Indigenous input, themes and/or leveraging Indigenous ways of being within their efforts and devises strategies to gather student input, assess programs and services, and produce reports on findings.
- Provides training, support and direction for faculty and academic areas working to increase their reconciliation content.
**Management of First Peoples Budget, Spaces and Staff**
- Provides direct supervision, delegation of work initiatives and scheduling of First Peoples staff and ensures the efficient management of the Odeyto and resources, including responsibility for Indigenous presence at other campuses.
- Maintains a high level of staff performance through effective recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, motivating and evaluating.
- Monitors annual budget for First Peoples, ensuring appropriate financial targets are met and identifies risks associated with budget activity.
- Monitors report on government grants that First Peoples access.
- Identifies planning factors (in year & projections) which ensure the effective use of core & MTCU financial resources, and the appropriate reallocation of resources as necessary.
**Indigenous Curriculum Integration**
- Provides support and consultation for faculty, academic leadership and Teaching and Learning teams to incorporate Indigenous Reconciliation content in courses, programs and training.
- Maintains and develops resources for faculty and students about the principles of Indigenous reconciliation education for curriculum integration and reporting.
- Identifies areas of Indigenous curriculum integration based upon the needs of the Indigenous community such as TRC, MMIW and current events.
**Institutional Community Relationships**
- Provides leadership and direction, with the AVP, on large institutional projects incorporating Indigenous themes and knowledge.
- Organizes the operations of the Indigenous Education Council (IEC) ensuring Indigenous community representation and Seneca involvement.
- Works collaboratively with Student Services to ensure effective service delivery for Indigenous students, and with Counselling and Accessibility services management for clinical supervision of counselling services.
- Assist non-academic departments with reconciliation efforts within their service delivery area.
**Qualifications**:
- A completed three (3) year diploma or degree in Education, Social Studies, Social Justice, or related field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of management or supervisory experience in an Indigenous agency or academic institution with a focus on Indigenous education.
- Curriculum development experience considered is preferred.
- Experience with planning and managing a budget is preferred.
- Community work within the Indigenous community and a connection to the GTA Indigenous community are considered assets.
**A reasonable combination of education and experience may be considered.**
