Remote, Canada Zesty.ai Full time

Events in recent years have made us all too familiar with the havoc that natural disasters can wreak, and the increasing frequency and intensity with which they are occurring. Despite record levels of losses, conventional methods of catastrophe risk modeling continue to paint at best, an incomplete picture of these threats.

ZestyAI uses novel data gathering and machine learning approaches to produce higher quality information about the risks to property, from catastrophes like floods and wildfires. While AI alone may not be able to thwart these disasters, it can help communities around the world become more prepared for them, and ultimately that will lead to better outcomes for business and society.

As an **_Associate Product Manager - AI_**,** you are an analytical thinker and passionate about working with complex data. You are a pacesetter who wants to set the standard; you are organized, self-directed, committed to innovation and possess outstanding empathetic and communication skills with clients and users. You will be crucial in operating the ZestyAI platform delivering property characteristics and climate risk information to our clients, our publication and our marketing efforts. You thrive in a collaborative and creative environment that moves fast, and are comfortable learning new skills and working with unfamiliar technologies.

**The Opportunity**:

- Support the senior leadership team in their strategic priorities, acting as the enabler to tackle new market opportunities using data
- Enable clients to test the product, while acting as an analytics partner to them
- Discover and translate data into tractable data science questions and engineering specifications to guide strategic decision making
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists as a key member of the product development team
- Iterate rapidly on everything; all of the above happens in a fast paced business driven environment that you must be comfortable with
- Develop outstanding analytics skills working across Risk Management, Machine Learning Model Performance, and Geospatial Intelligence
- Analyze large datasets with tools like jupyter notebooks, python and sql, and translate them into actionable insights for our client, or the larger public through white paper publications

**What You Bring to the ZestyAI Team**:

- 2 to 5 years of analytical experience in business analytics, consulting, banking or other field; to include at least 1 year of product management or related experience
- Outstanding communication skills, well-versed in building executive-style presentations
- Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities and deliver on time
- Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Sciences, Commerce, Economics or Statistics
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, Python
- Excitement to be a part of insurtech and property tech industries
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

**Extra Zesty if you have**:

- GIS software (arcGIS, QGIS)
- Exposure to insurance, real estate and risk modeling

**Why ZestyAI**:

- Be a part of a well-funded growth-stage start-up
- Work with a high performance leadership team brought by top-tier risk analytics background
- Market competitive comp and equity incentives to give you a stake in our future
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision care plans
- Remote-first policy
- Flexible Time Off
- Home office setup stipend
- Annual Learning and Development allowance
- An upbeat and collaborative work culture
