**Description**:
Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Technician - Finance Department, the technician keeps the City’s computer equipment and various systems in good working order. This includes equipment (computers, Thin clients, printers, scanners, etc.) and software. The jobholder must install, configure and maintain all IT equipment. He or she must also diagnose problems and suggest solutions.

**Departmental mission**:
The mission of the Finance Department is to fairly and transparently manage all administrative processes and, in close cooperation with departments, to effectively and efficiently manage financial, human, and physical resources, with the aim of achieving the objectives set out in the strategic planning.

**General responsibilities and goals**:
The jobholder is responsible for performing the following main duties:

- Diagnose and repair if possible defective IT equipment (computers, Thin clients, printers, laptops, smart devices, etc.);
- Install, configure and administer servers;
- Install and configure switchs and other network equipment;
- Oversee basic supervision and administration of servers;
- Supervise and verify work performed by IT providers;
- Perform any other task related to the position.

**Job requirements**:
The jobholder must have a technical college diploma with specialization in information technology. The job requires two (2) years of relevant experience in a position enabling the jobholder to gain familiarity with the nature of the job.

Other requirements:

- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and up ;
- Experience with virtualization systems (VMware);
- Experience with and knowledge of how the internal components of a computer operate;
- Essential knowledge of Ethernet networks;
- Basic knowledge of the Internet;
- Experience with office software (Microsoft Office 365, etc.);
- Bilingualism, spoken and written French and English.

**Schedule**:
35 hours per week
For the period between Thanksgiving and the first (1rst) Monday of May: Monday to Friday inclusively, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., minus one (1) hour for lunch.

For the period between the first (1rst) Monday of May and Thanksgiving: Monday to Thursday inclusively, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., minus forty-five (45) minutes for lunch; Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
