**About us**

We are a museum of Dionne Quint artifacts and souvenir items inside the original Dionne family home. We conduct tours every Friday and Saturday throughout the summer. Our artifacts have been digitized by previous summer students and we have since acquired further items that will need to be digitized. Our website and social media sites require constant updating. We are hoping to deliver a special activity next year as it is North Bay's centennial year and we know that the Quints played an integral role in the development of North Bay and area. More research is necessary to make this happen.

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Museum Administrator to join our team. The Assistant Museum Administrator will play a key role in supporting the administrative functions of the organization and ensuring smooth operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading tours at the Dionne Quint Heritage Museum
- Provide support during events
- Knowledge of local history and a passion for education, heritage, and culture is considered an asset
- Conduct research on various topics as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- enrolled in a related post-secondary field (museum, arts, culture or tourism studies)
- Support leadership in daily tasks

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in writing and editing documents
- Leadership qualities with the capability to take initiative
- Familiarity with databases and data management
- Excellent customer service skills
- French speaking is an asset (tours often require french)
- Social Media and Web page expertise is an asset
- Excellent computer skills and an ability to use the internet and Microsoft Office is required
- Additional graphic design skills is an asset
- An ability to be creative, solve problems, and work independently

Hours of work are Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 - 4:00

Applicants must have been a full-time student in the semester preceding and intend to return to full-time studies in September 2024

Applicants must be 15 - 30 to qualify for Canada Summer Jobs.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: $18.10 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
