**Description: Museum Sales Associate**

The Store of the TMTB is an integral part of the Museum experience and shares a supportive role in

interpreting, representing, and conveying the TMTB strategic objectives. Through store sales, it serves

to generate profits to bolster the Museum's educational objectives, while enhancing the overall

quality of the Museum visitor’s experience by highlighting merchandise relative to the Museum’s

collections and exhibitions. The Store Associate provides a key role in achieving the store’s goals by

assisting in key areas of daily functions, including Admissions, handling sales and POS operations. The

Store Associate provides our Museum visitors with the highest level of service, ensuring that their

experience is positive and memorable.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Present a welcoming environment for customers, maintaining professional engagement.
- Operate POS system.
- Ability to provide tours as needed or required due to high volume of visitors
- Keep the store clean and organized, ensuring displays are inviting and merchandise is

restocked & replenished as needed.
- Remain updated on daily Museum happenings such as tours, programming, and exhibitions.
- Understand Museum policies and proactively assist visitors and staff members as needed.
- Highly professional. Positive personality and attitude.
- Support special events and carry out other responsibilities.
- Ability to work well in a busy, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Values and supports the strategic goals, mission, and initiatives of the Museum.
- Asset (But not mandatory) would be speaking another language, First Aid and WHIMIS

training

**Physical Requirements**:
The person in this position must be able to bend, stretch and must have the ability to lift, move or

carry up to (20) pounds.
