Land Use Planner

As a Land Use Planner, you will work collaboratively with our experienced team members to provide maximum value to our clients. Your success will broaden BCPCs reach - helping communities, businesses, and groups acieve their development goals - while simultaneously developming your personal protfolio as an expert in our space.

**Responsibilities**
- Review plans of survey, official plans, and zoning by-laws to determine compliance with existing and proposed development.
- Perform mapping and analysis using GIS.
- Support public engagment activities.
- Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and public sector planners.
- Maintain professional relationships with planning authorities and agencies.

**Requirements**:

- Planning Degree from an accredited university.
- Several years experience in **private sector** planning.
- Project management experience and/or training.
- A proactive approach to project management, business development and a commitment to client service.
- Eligibility for CIP designation
- GIS and graphic design skills
- Good working knowledge of a variety of computer programs and the ability to learn new software quickly (Office products, Adobe, Word Press)
- Ability to work independently and with a diverse team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
