**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, the Marketing and Communications Project Specialist will lead the planning and execution of all marketing and communications efforts for the agency. Working with a contracted Social Media Freelancer and Graphic Designer, the incumbent will be trusted to explore innovative solutions with the goal of increasing engagement. This role is ideal for someone who has both marketing and project management experience and is excited by the opportunity to create order and process in a high performance environment. This is a hybrid role that allows flexibility for time spent working in the office and working remotely.

**The main duties of the role include**:

- Responsible for planning and executing marketing activities that lead to greater brand awareness, maximize fundraising revenues and drive volunteerism
- Act as BBBST’s brand steward and manage look, feel and voice across all marketing and communications efforts
- Plan and manage content calendars to ensure efficient production and use of assets across all departments, often planning months in advance
- Manage communications with various BBBST stakeholders such as donors and volunteers, including creation of quarterly newsletters and other communications
- Lead BBBST website project, working with varying stakeholders to write and create content and oversee the build of the agency’s new website
- Lead the creation of the agency’s annual report and other donor and stakeholder-facing printed and digital materials
- Manage relationship with Social Media Freelancer, including collaborating on and approving social media, website and other content
- Manage relationship with Freelance Graphic Designer, including briefing in projects and providing edits and approvals
- Support Community Engagement team by creating communications assets that drive mentor recruitment
- Responsible for the compiling of stories and photos that demonstrate our impact and ensuring they are used for the best purposes
- Effectively create and manage detailed workback schedules for marketing projects
- Provide communications support for events and collaborate with events team on in-event marketing opportunities

**Experience and skills that are ideal for this role**:

- 3+ years as part of a marketing or communications team. Experience with fundraising and donor stewardship is an asset
- Strong project management skills - including the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work with many stakeholders, build working relationships with ease to drive collaboration
- A strategic thinker who can plan months in advance and keep long-term projects on track
- Ability to quickly switch between planning long-term projects and handling immediate needs that arise
- Experience creating and editing social media and website content, and experience managing social media channels an asset
- High attention to detail and organization skills - used to ensure that all marketing and communications assets meet the quality standards and brand guidelines of the agency
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in digital marketing an asset
- Basic graphic design skills an asset
- MS Office proficiency
- Canva proficiency
