Onboarding Coordinator

**Job Duties**
- Lead and conduct orientations and site-specific training for all Thompson required sites
- Assist with recruitment and interview process.
- Process required documents and ensure accurate record keeping and proper completion of all paperwork.
- Help prepare new employee files.
- File papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
- Make photocopies, fax documents and perform other clerical functions.
- Identify issues and opportunities associated with the contractor onboarding process and make improvement recommendations
- Support the area business unit leaders by ensuring their contractors are mobilized and are “day one ready”
- Communicate effectively about onboarding requirements to field logistics for processing accommodation requests
**Requirements**:
- Office administration or Human Resource diploma or certificate
- 3-5 years of direct work experience in an administrative role within the mining, oil and gas or a similar industrial environment
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with your clients is essential
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
- Basic graphic design skills and an eye for aesthetics in presentation materials
- Highly effective prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience onboarding and managing mobilization
- Superb writing, content development and editing skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
- Work evenings and weekends
- Overtime as required
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
- Must be able to train new employees in:
- TDG
- Flagger
- WHIMIS
- Ground Disturbance
