**Job Purpose**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Payroll Administration**:

- Process and manage the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws
- Maintain and update employee records related to payroll, benefits, and deductions
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Complete union remittances

**Human Resources Administration**:

- Support the recruitment process by assisting in job postings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews
- Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a seamless integration for new hires
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture

**Benefits Administration**:

- Administer employee benefits programs
- Facilitate open enrollment processes and communicate benefit information to employees
- Complete remittances

**Compliance and Documentation**:

- Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in HR and payroll practices
- Maintain accurate and complete employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data security

**General Office Administration**:

- Greets visitors to the office and directs inquiries
- Assist in organizing company events and running errands to accommodate the companies needs
- Assisting multiple departments with data compilation, filing, and scanning as required
- Act as primary liaison between the company, staff, and external contacts, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests
- Assisting with the coordination of field work activities accordingly
- Ordering office and promotional supplies as required

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma is required
- Post secondary education including; a diploma or certificate in Human Resources or Labour relations, a payroll certificate from the National Payroll Institute would be considered an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with recruitment experience would be considered an asset, preferable in the construction industry
- Computer literacy is mandatory
- Proficiency in MS Office including; Excel, Word, and Access are preferred
- Experience working within a unionized environment would be considered an asset
- Current and up to date knowledge of Employment Standards, and Human Rights legislations

- Highly motivated with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment and maintain a high-volume workload
- Thorough research and problem-solving skills
- Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards

Pay: $52,000.00-$68,000.00 per year

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 1 year (preferred)
- Dayforce Ceridian: 1 year (preferred)
- recruitment: 1 year (preferred)
- Payroll: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PCP Certification (preferred)
