**Job Purpose**:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording daily financial transactions, invoicing clients, managing payroll, and assisting with month-end processes for the business. This role involves maintaining and filing requisite documents for government compliance, monitoring cash flow, and producing financial reports to assist managers in strategic decision-making.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Process payroll, including reconciling and maintaining all payroll-related general ledger accounts.
- Responsible for all government remittances (HST, EHT, WSIB).
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Follow up on invoices to clients for outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Post journal entries.
- Monitor and track expenses.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements.
- Handle miscellaneous office requirements.

**Qualifications/Skills**:
**Qualifications**:

- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper/Accountant or in a similar role.
- Experience and Strong Understanding of Quickbooks Online
- Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

- Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kitchener, ON N2C 2G1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- QuickBooks Online: 4 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 4 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
