**About Us**:
Amal Newcomer Employment and Support Services is a recently launched program under the umbrella of Amal Youth and Family Centre. We are dedicated to supporting newcomers to Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) and employers across the province with meaningful employment. Our program works closely with employers and newcomers to address the challenges faced in the job market and foster a diverse and inclusive workforce.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic and culturally sensitive Marketing and Operations Coordinator to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the program manager and the rest of the team by providing marketing expertise, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring effective communication with our diverse audience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and distribution of the program's newsletter, including content creation, editing, and distribution to our target audience.
- Collaborate with the program manager and team members to develop marketing strategies for program’s events and services.
- Track market trends and supporting social media content creation.
- Provide input and guidance on the program’s website content, social media posts, and other marketing materials to effectively communicate the program's value proposition.
- Work closely with the organization's social media manager and the program manager to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms, including promoting events and services.
- Assist with the creation of tailored presentations and marketing materials.
- Perform administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, agenda planning, minutes recording, and documentation.
- Manage external program communications and external marketing activities, including newsletters, websites, and online presence.
- Support the supervision of other marketing/admin staff, such as interns, as applicable.
- Create a social media content calendar to plan and organize content effectively.
- Support the program manager and team members as needed to address emerging needs and challenges.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or operations roles, with a strong understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally another language.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing marketing campaigns and materials that resonate with multicultural audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and a passion for supporting newcomers in NL.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
