**We are currently seeking a full time Warehouse Dispatcher to join our team in Hamilton, ON on a 6 month contract.**

**HOURS OF WORK**

Sunday-Wednesday, rotating weekly shifts - 7:30am-4:00pm, 1:00-9:30PM & flexibility for weekend shifts.

**NATURE AND SCOPE**:
The Dispatcher stands in the middle of the warehouse and is responsible for communicating and coordinating shipping and route planning for all couriers. The Dispatcher is responsible to marrying 3 areas of our business; medical equipment, medical supplies and prescription medication to ensure safe and cost effective on time delivery.

The Dispatcher encompasses responsibilities of a shipping coordinator, route planner and a warehouse shipper.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure that all orders are scanned prior to being shipped
- Ensure medical equipment, medical supplies and prescription medication are combined with 1 stop delivery

**Route Planner Responsibilities**:

- Ability to build routes with density and use shipping program to ensure required delivery times are met
- Ensuring all deliveries are scanned, routed, labelled and checked accurately prior to being shipped
- Assign routes and print labels for deliveries being prepared for shipping

Warehouse Shipper Responsibilities:

- Ensure all orders are accurately labelled and piece count verified
- Physically move temperature controlled items from cold storage to drivers/courier loading area
- Assist with general warehouse duties including physical shipping duties - handing over packages to drivers, receiving returns

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2 years of previous Hamilton Region dispatch experience, or strong understanding of Hamilton area and traffic patterns
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy (in all area including documentation, with computers and visually)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently under short time constraints
- Strong interpersonal skills with team, community partners, clients, and all levels within Calea
- Flexibility to work other shifts to meet the requirements of our evolving business is preferred (open every day)
- Must be able to stand for long period of time and able to bend/lift 10-15 lbs multiple times a shift
- Must be clear of any convictions regardless of content or quantity; a clean criminal background check is required as part of the offer.
