Truck Yard Operations Coordinator

Established in Canada, we are the leading provider of time-sensitive overnight air cargo services, carrying over 1.3 million pounds of cargo each business night across North America.
About the RoleWe seek an organized and reliable Truck Yard Associate to join our Ecommerce Team. As a critical member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring defect-free management of the Customer Truck Yard, maximizing throughput by efficiently arriving and dispatching from the yard all Customer Linehauls while maintaining detailed capture of all activities.
Key Responsibilities- Establish face-to-face contact with Linehaul drivers to check them into the yard physically and virtually via Customer e-tools.
- Assign Linehaul carriers optimal parking positions that maximize truck yard capabilities.
- Ensure no unauthorized yard entry by non-Customer Linehaul carriers.
- Prevent truck yard congestion by not allowing Linehaul carriers to drop trailers in yard if not authorized by Customer.
- Maintain close coordination with warehouse dock POC and dispatch Linehauls to the warehouse and to their assigned door as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Become the shift point of contact between internal business units and external Customer Linehaul carriers, providing necessary details needed to address any operational defects and or escalations.
- Ensure compliance with Customer daily reporting requirements.
- Ensure proper site security is being maintained and report deviations if found.
- High School Diploma, Post-Secondary education in a related field or program would be an asset.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Flexibility to work and be trained in all aspects of the operation.
- Detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000-$75,000 CAD based on industry standards and location.
