**About the Marketing Assistant Role**

The Pedalheads brand is growing quickly and so is our marketing team We have a critical role to fill that is both administrative and marketing focused. At the core, this role will make the team more efficient by supporting various people and tasks. It's a fun, fast-paced and dynamic role that will expose the Marketing Assistant to continuous learning and development in many different aspects of marketing.

The Marketing Assistant role will be responsible for the following:
**Administration**
- Ensure all files from external designers are saved and organized on the internal digital asset manager (Sharepoint).
- Manage the reconciling of all monthly budget expenses
- Pay all marketing invoices
- Swag and merch sourcing and ordering
- Note-taking, meeting scheduling and agenda coordination for cross-functional teams
- Management of Asana (project software)

**Social Media Support**
- Be the voice of Pedalheads brand by responding to our online community across social media channels
- Monitor consumer reactions on social media platforms
- Check scheduled social media posts for posting quality
- Research and present ideas for social media and blog content
- Support the deliverables tracking for Pedalheads Ambassadors' content on social media
- Monitor analytics and consumer reactions for our website and report on social media analytics every month
- Support the search for Parent Ambassadors by suggesting parents that may be a good fit
- Occasional camp visits to capture content for social media feeds

**Internal Marketing Requests**
- Use basic graphic design skills to resize, edit and export marketing digital and print assets and organize files on Sharepoint/Dropbox
- Triage and support the tasks submitted into the marketing requests portal (ie. promotional code creation and internal communications, asset resizing)
- Support internal teams by exporting data requests on HubSpot as needed
- Create, organize and track promo codes for community events, bursaries and scholarships and other requests
- Conduct market research to uncover customer and region specific insights

**Third-Party Marketing**
- Liaise with third-party advertisers and provide assets as required
- Create event listings for special events and programming

**Core Competencies**
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and strategies
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels and platforms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
- Passionate and collaborative - participates in culture-building and proudly represents the Pedalheads brand

**Qualifications**

**Experience and Education**
- 1-2 years experience in marketing
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in marketing, communications or business administration - although an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A background in sports or children's programming is an asset but not required.
