Everland Natural Foods is a Canadian organic and natural food manufacturer located in South Burnaby. The Food Safety and Production In-charge will be responsible for leading the team in maintaining food safety and quality certifications and supervising production. Potential for progress in accordance with achieving goals and food safety certifications (i.e. BRC/SQF levels) while maintaining optimum production levels.

**Tasks**
- Lead scheduling and supervision of production, machinery, routine maintenance, cleaning and sanitation, pre-operational/operational inspections and all record keeping related to production and food safety system
- Ensure effective execution of the HACCP program to meet regulatory requirements (CFIA, QAI, BCK etc.), food safety & quality standards in cooperation with the QC personnel and Director of food safety, quality and compliance including training food production employees on GMP/HACCP.
- Lead risk assessment of our foods, set testing standards, CCPs and observance of all CCP’s and manage the supplier food safety program to ensure that incoming materials comply to regulatory requirements and new product specs needs.

- Supervise in-house laboratory tests and external testing. Prepare product COAs and Specification Sheets according to the standards for the food’s physical and microbiological limits as well as fill various forms as required by customers.
- Lead internal and external audits (HACCP, SQF, CFIA, customers, etc.)
- Perform internal GAP assessments, and ensure timely resolution of necessary corrective action items associated with all audit concerns.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 years HACCP experience GFSI (BRC or SQF Preferred)
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Science and Food safety studies certificate
- Excellent multi-tasking and task prioritization skills
- Task-driven action and results-oriented within deadlines.
- Professional communication skill - verbal and writing correspondence to customers, regulatory agencies, patient inter-departmental delegation & follow up skills

This is a fulltime position, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
