**Here is what you will do**
VitalAire is currently looking for a full-time, permanent **General Manager, Medical Gases** to join our corporate team. This role can be based either out of **Quebec **or **Mississauga**.
The General Manager, Medical Gase**s** is responsible for VitalAire’s Medgas division’s P&L, overseeing the commercial, clinical, engineering, and technical services teams. This role is accountable for both the financial and safety results of the division, covering bulk and cylinder gases, respiratory equipment, and Air Liquide owned assets, including fee-for-service medical gas systems maintenance/repairs.
- Promotes Air Liquide Healthcare as a leader in healthcare medical gas products and services, both internally to Air Liquide employees and to key industry players, such as hospital C-suite executives and department directors, health authorities, and buying groups.
- Collaborates with Air Liquide Canada to optimize inter-departmental operations, while fostering high levels of trust and collaboration.
- Prepares budgets and forecasts with the operations control and finance teams.
- Collaborates with the marketing team to understand market trends in order to commercialize winning offers to solve customer pain points.
- Works with procurement and suppliers to manage a portfolio of winning products at cost-effective pricing to us, while ensuring a high service level from suppliers.
- Establishes strategies for the commercial team to meet sales targets and for the Clinical Affairs team to be recognized as trusted advisors to hospital clinicians.
- Manages the Technical Services team to ensure a high level of safety and reliability of our bulk equipment, as well as the profitable growth of our fee-for-service activities.
- Keeps a “dotted-line” relationship to the logistics, production, customer service, and back office teams to meet agreed-upon service levels.
- Attracts, retains, and promotes talented individuals within Air Liquide Healthcare.
**Here is what you will need**
- Bachelor’s university degree (a Master’s degree is an asset)
- At least 10 years of experience managing teams. Air Liquide experience is an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Agreeing to disclose your COVID-19 vaccination status, as a condition of employment.
