This position is for an executive assistant who possesses the ability to work in a fast paced environment to work assisting the principal lawyer in her family law practice located in the City of Barrie and Simcoe County.

This position is ideal for an experienced and **organized** individual who has a desire for a **high level of responsibility. **Attention to detail, confidence and understanding of professionalism is a MUST.

This position involves providing executive and legal administrative support which will require:
(1) being able to keep up to date on the Courthouse practice directions for serving and filing of documents and rules on what can be included in the documents and the length of the documents.

(2) compiling and organizing documents,

(4) communicating orally and in writing with clients.

(5) managing the calendar for appointments and deadlines.

(6) helping to ensure that the client's or Opposing Party's provide requisite documents through sending initial requests and follow ups.

(7) assisting the lawyer in the smooth operation of administrative tasks on files and the firm.

(8) running errands between law firms, the bank, the courthouse and as needed.

(9) meeting with clients, process servers, other lawyer's, to receive documents and packages.

(10) scheduling meetings with clients, other lawyers, questioning, court dates, mediations, conference calls, phone appointments and the like.

(11) DOCKETING EACH TASK IS A MUST

(12) HELPING TO KEEP THINGS MOVING SMOOTHLY AND EFFICIENTLY AND ORGANIZED in the files and in the firm is a key component of this position.

(14) Opening & Closing of client files, in accordance with LSO guidelines and bylaw regulations;
You will use your resourcefulness and communication skills to address and resolve issues that arise on a daily basis.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

You need to possess a strong work initiative and ability to work independently at times. You must be able to PRIORITIZE tasks and ensure the tasks get completed.

Exceptional skills in Onedrive; MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, Outlook).

SALARY TO BE COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

- Midland, ON: on occassion

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $32,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
