**Specific Accountabilities**

This position provides a variety of inbound and outbound logistics and customs documenting to individuals at different levels of the organization and to any client by:

- Coordinating inbound and outbound materials or resources to ensure on time delivery
- Monitoring expenses and performance issues with contracted carriers
- Creates purchase orders to track freight spend
- Reviews and approves transportation-related invoices for payment
- Troubleshoot any problems to ensure projects or process remain on schedule
- Work with various departments to ensure product is available to ship on time
- Work with outside customers to develop a schedule for the delivery of products or resources.
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
- Develops and recommends improvements in current delivery practices to promote more efficient and accurate services with low costs.
- Certifies that contracted couriers follow company policies and procedures when delivering products to customers
- Establishes positive working relationships with customers
- Responsible for Shipping logs and records of executed orders
- Prepare transportation and distribution reports as necessary for upper management

**Scope**
- Evaluates performance, quality, and pricing schedules
- Evaluates and suggests alternative freight vendors
- Complies with policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Performs related duties assigned
- Provides support to associates involved in inbound and outbound processes

**Contacts**
- Must work closely with associates in Shipping and Receiving and the Loading Team as well as our Carrier base to communicate delivery needs and provide the best service to customers
- Communicate to departments such as: Shipping and Receiving, Project Management, and Inventory Managers.

**Working Conditions**
- Office environment - Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs
- Frequent use of Telephone/Cell Phone
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Frequent use of keyboard
- Occasional to frequent production/MFG floor environment PPE required
- Occasional travel to field worksite locations, may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- High school education required and at least 5 years work experience
- 2+ years in logistics or supply chain preferred
- Proven knowledge of transport industry and traffic preferred
- Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
- Proficient knowledge in MS office (Excel and Word)
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
- Understanding of guidelines, direct response, and customer experience
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage materials
- Detail-orientated project management and communication skills
- Must have the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong team player, proactive, and enthusiastic about obtaining great business results through creative project execution.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Excellent attendance is required
