Warehouse Associate

Established in June of 1999, Apex Distribution Inc. operates as a distributor of industrial and oilfield products and services to oil and gas producers, mining, forestry, food processing, and these industries associated contractors and service companies conducting business throughout Western Canada.

Primary responsibilities may include:
**Shipping**
- Prepare, organize, and load shipments for daily pick ups
- Coordinate shipping logistics with daily couriers
- Complete shipping documentation including BOL's and way bills
- Material handling using forklifts and reach machines
**Quality Control**
- Perform QC verification for items prior to shipping
- Verify item quantity and accuracy
- Notify and assist with issue resolution
Secondary responsibilities and future training may include:
**Order Picking**
- Using a reach machine to retrieve items for orders
- Build pallets with selected items in preparation for shipping
- Adhere to order specific instructions
- Complete paperwork for finished orders
**Receiving**
- Verify items items for inbound receiving, perform QC verification
- Allocate product and coordinate inventory management with Supervisor
- Perform inventory audits and identify resolutions for issues
Skills & Qualifications:
- Recent forklift and electric reach machine experience is preferred
- Previous shipping/receiving and/or warehouse experience would be an asset
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, and awareness of surroundings, in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment
- Active critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and quick learning
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
