**You have**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and/or related field
- At least five years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, business planning, and project management including corporate-wide change management initiatives in the broader public sector
- Currently holds or in the process of achieving a CPA designation
- Good knowledge of financial planning, resource allocation and utilization to develop, analyze and evaluate budget proposals
- Experience with financial impact analysis and governance
- Experience in systems analysis and systems development methodologies within a large corporate environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent follow-up and problem solving skills
- Thorough understanding of financial systems, related modules and high proficiency in use of Microsoft suite of products and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP

**Nice to have**:

- Familiarity with corporate valuations, performance measurement, and business case development
- Knowledge of basic corporate tax concepts

**What you will do**:

- Evaluate Board reports on financial impact as related to business case, strategic direction and alignment to corporate objectives and financial affordability providing recommendations and identifying opportunities to maximize operational efficiencies
- Prepare and deliver briefing materials and board reports to provide analysis on key issues to senior management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, other government organizations, etc. to determine trends, best practices, and directions affecting corporate financial strategies
- Manage the purchasing card program including preparing spend analysis reports, monitoring usage and compliance to internal policies and providing training when needed
- Provide financial analytical support and costing on strategic corporate projects including business development, assisting in the formulation of product and/or services costs for sale
- Build relationships with MPAC senior management to effectively deliver corporate financial projects such as the capital budget/reserve project, evaluate business needs and conduct financial impact ensuring adherence to policies and best practices in the broader public sector
- Evaluate Board and senior management spending by completing audits and preparing reports on key findings
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data extracts and reports by conducting regular audits and gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data related to new program/initiatives development
- Review Corporate business improvement projects and business cases to identify increased funding requirements, impact on resources, and budget adjustments
- Conduct and/or coordinate post-implementation reviews of finance department programs and projects and the analysis of programs/vendor or supplier spend relating to projects, programs, business plans, budgets and the strategic plan
