Sherwood Park, Canada Nest Family Counselling Full time

Nest Family Counselling is looking for a Registered Psychologist or a Provisional Registered Psychologist who has an interest in primarily working with children ages 5-17 years old, as well as their parental guardians. The caseload will be a blend of both children and adults.

Ideal clients would be certified with the Canadian Association of Play Therapy (CAPT) or the American Association of Play Therapy (APT), or are in the process of certifying with one of these associations. If there is a demonstration of the commitment to working in this area (foundational level 1 training with APT or Green Stream from Rocky Mountain Play Therapy) Nest Family Counselling would consider contributing to the costs of ongoing certification.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrated ability to provide client-focused care
- Ability to maintain a child and adult generalist caseload
- Professional production of requested third party reports in a timely manner - Actively engaging in clinical practice continuing education
- Ability to work independently and with other clinicians as needed
- Proficient in standard computing skills and software (i.e. Microsoft Word/Google Docs) and a willingness to learn healthcare software (Jane)
- Willingness to work a range of hours to build a caseload (general therapy work)
- Ability to meet all CAP, legal and ethical standards as a psychologist

**Schedule Options**:

- 8 hour shifts

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree or higher in counselling psychology or related field
- Registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
- Current professional liability insurance - Minimum of $5M
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Experience and professional training in the areas identified above would be considered an asset
- Evening or weekend availability dependent on client demand
- External supervision in place

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $100.00-$130.00 per hour
