Sherwood Park, Canada Mindful Moments Child Enrichment Centre Full time

Mindful Moments Child Enrichment Centre is seeking a passionate, experienced educator to join us in the role of Toddler Team Lead working from 8:30am - 5:30pm with a one hour break daily. This position would be working with children ages 19 months - 3 years. Alongside the day to day care for the children, you would be responsible for overseeing all admin tasks related to running the room, one on one meetings with a team of five educators, ratio management, ensure curriculum meets best practices, resolve relevant parent/staff concerns, communicate with and meet with other team leads, admin and management staff, and other tasks as outlined in the job description.

Located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, our program is very unique and includes a large indoor gym, and spacious outdoor classroom which includes a green space and bike riding space. We have a well appointed staff room with computers, resource books and small kitchen for educators to utilize. We overstaff so that our team has regular opportunities to pursue professional development while at work, organize and clean their rooms and meet with other team members when needed.

Our program is inspired by a mix of many philosophies and frameworks, including Reggio, Montessori, Learning Through Play and FLIGHT.

Our programs run year round outside of stat holidays and a two week break over Christmas. We are open from 7:00am - 5:30pm from Monday to Friday. We do require occasional attendance at weeknight or weekend events such as meetings, parent events, etc.

- Child Development Supervisor Certification - Level 3 (or be close to graduating)
- Prior Leadership Experience Required
- First Aid (you can obtain upon hire)
- Clear Criminal Record Check (you can obtain upon hire)
- 5+ Years of Experience Working with Children (including experience with toddlers)
- Strong English skills (both reading and writing)
- Strong Organization Skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong Curriculum Planning Skills (with ability to follow the lead of the child)
- Strong Leadership Abilities
- Comfortable Navigating Technology
- Passion for Working with Children and Willingness to Attend Regular Training
- Experience with FLIGHT - Alberta’s Early Childhood Curriculum Framework
- Outdoor Play Enthusiast
- Passionate and Open to Change
