As an Account Manager, your role is to ensure a delightful customer experience for a portfolio of assigned customers. You will act as liaison between the customer and other departments (such as support or billing), develop new business from your existing customer base as well as from qualified opportunities assigned to you and handle and resolve customer issues. Your mission is to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers.

**functions...**Account Management (90%)**
- Act as a customer advocate and ensure a delightful customer experience
- Create good relationship with customers to develop and maintain trustworthiness
- Manage existing accounts with a focus on growth and eliminating churn
- Actively work on upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities
- Effectively and accurately manage a sales funnel and forecast
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment
- Ensure accuracy of customer records including keeping track of any communication, contract updates and renewals
- Develop a thorough understanding of our services to better upsell and cross-sell
- May be required to respond to customer and prospect inquiries received via the sales phone line, sales inbox, and /or the website chat app.

**New logos prospection (10%)**
- Follow up and convert qualified leads/opportunities provided by the company
- Conduct research on assigned leads/opportunities in order to better understand the customer needs

**Working Conditions**

The role has standard working conditions in a hybrid environment (office and home-based) with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The account manager is required to be present during customer facility tours within the city/territory that they are based in. The role requires being available on-call 24/7 to respond to occasional critical incidences. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and manage stress. The role requires mínimal travel (10% - 20%) to advance initiatives and visit team members across Canada.

Experience
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of business-to-business sales experience working in a technology environment
- Experience working in a data center, telecommunication, or cloud services provider environment is considered an important asset

Education/Certification/Designation
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field

Competencies
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
- Ability to collect, track, analyze, and distill significant amounts of data
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.
- Extensive, accurate product knowledge.
- Demonstrable track record of success in sales

Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Solid knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
- Solid knowledge of computer and network connectivity equipment
