Reporting to the Controls Manager, the Controls Specialist will support projects and field services activities including programming and documentation.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, safety standards, and motor controls
- Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept and budgeting activities
- Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.
- Work with many different aspects of controls, from system definition to design and programming
- PLC programming (Allen Bradley, and Siemens)
- HMI programming (Allen Bradley, and Siemens)
- Testing, Debugging and Commissioning machines
- Troubleshoot and support several common systems (PLC, Vision, and Robotics), or other control platforms as required
- Research & Development work
- Liaise with suppliers
- Assist in the purchasing of controls related equipment
- Create customer documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
- General assembly and shop work as required
- Occasional travel within North America may be required

**Qualifications & Experience**
- College or university degree or diploma in electrical engineering
- PLC, and HMI programming experience
- Typing skills, Microsoft Office and some knowledge of MRP System necessary
- Strong communication skills

**Salary**: $73,331.89-$105,019.99 per year
