We are looking for a System Engineer to join our **Cloud team**. This is a full-time hybrid/remote position from **Canada**.

The role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with other members of GHS technology team, vendors, and potential customers to assess and implement effective solutions that meet the organization's server capacity requirements.

Other responsibilities include providing pre-sales/post-sales technical support to customers and supporting Managed Services through documentation, procedure creation, and incident/problem/change management disciplines.

**What you'll do**:
You will perform a range of planning and systems administration tasks including but not limited to the following:

- Design technical solutions for data center x86/virtualization/storage/HCI/HPC based on requirements of enterprise customers
- Understand customer requirements and work out the technical solution to fit the requirements
- Generate Solution Design document and Bill of Material for customer requirements
- Conduct Proof of Concept for complex Virtualization solutions and consolidation projects
- Liaise with principal vendors for understanding their products, solutions, and pricing
- Provide guidance and assistance during pre-sales activities and solution design
- Provide implementation services to customers consisting of x86 servers (Lenovo/HPE/Cisco) / virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) / storage(SAN/NAS/DAS) / networking / Windows Server & Linux OS / VDI
- Administration of x86 servers, VMware, storage, and Microsoft technologies for our managed services customers
- Support presale processes through answers to tender/RFP
- Develop plans and perform tasks to migrate data storage and backup processes
- Deliver post-sales technical support, conduct product training, identify and resolve issues, and provide root cause analysis
- Actively contribute within your team and GHS through tangible contributions to process development, quality improvements, operational efficiency, and other business improvement projects
- Achieve and maintain advanced certifications in the products and technologies assigned to you

**What you'll need**:

- Minimum 5 years of related presales and/or solution design experience
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the virtualization domain and hands-on working experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix, vSAN, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and/or VMware Horizon
- Minimum 3 years of working experience with Microsoft AD, MS Exchange, Exchange Online and/or Hyper
- Advanced experience with MS Clustering, MS SQL High Availability is a plus.
- Demonstrated excellent knowledge of x86 Servers and Blades, Storage & Backup Infrastructure and datacenter networking is a must (Lenovo, HPE, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, Zerto, Veeam, Rubrik etc.)
- Possess professional certifications of Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, Nutanix, etc.)
- Familiar with the latest Virtualization trends and solutions available from vendors
- Conversant with the current virtualization products and solutions of the following major vendor such as VMware, Nutanix, Citrix or Microsoft
- Should have an analytical and logical approach toward solution design and problem-solving
- Working experience with SCCM, SCVMM, VMware Cloud on Azure/AWS/IBM Cloud would be an added advantage
- Experience in Systems Center Suite, VMware vRealize Suite, VCF, and/or NSX, is a plus
- Excellent Knowledge of Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud environments
- Excellent knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, clustering, encryption technologies from multiple vendors
