**Major Duties and responsibilities include**:

- Reporting to and working closely with the UBCIC Executive Director
- Leading technology strategy for UBCIC
- Coordinating technology work and projects with various departments in UBCIC
- Project managing technology projects and work
- Being the main point of contact with the external IT vendor
- Organizing and leading monthly technology meetings with the UBCIC technology committee
- Organizing and leading monthly technology strategy meetings with the external vendor
- Providing regular reports on technology projects and progress
- Managing communications necessary to execute technology projects with all stakeholders and users
- Communicating with and responding to users as needed
- Setting up and managing technology support infrastructures including wikis, technical issue reporting systems, and guides/manuals for users

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in technology support
- Experience with building technology strategy plans
- Knowledgeable about privacy and data governance
- 3+ years of project management experience
- An interest in training, developing workshops, and support/learning materials
- A value of reducing barriers for knowledge sharing
- The ability to provide front-line technical support as needed while also reaching out to the IT vendor service for escalated issues
- Be knowledgeable about and support the mandate, mission, and work of UBCIC
- Be interested in working collaboratively with staff across the organization and being part of a larger team
- Be passionate about helping people with technology
- Be an excellent problem solver with a love for finding solutions
- Be technically-savvy
- Be a patient and clear communicator

**What We Offer**:
**Salary**: $65,000/year

**Hours**: 35 hours/week

**Start Date**: Monday April 3rd, 2023

**Benefits**: Competitive package

**Vacation**: 2 weeks paid vacation time per year to start, plus 2 weeks of paid time-off over the winter holidays in December.

**Other Leave**:5 paid days per calendar year for Cultural Leave. 15 paid sick leave days per calendar year.

**Work Format**: Partial remote work option, as agreed upon with the Administrative Director.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Technical support: 2 years (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC
