This position is located in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

What You Will Be Working On- Conduct full cycle recruitment of craft positions to meet the needs of projects in line with the policies, procedures, standards and the hourly workflow including but not limited to:- Develop content for job postings.- Review resumes, conduct first-level phone screens confirming credentials and work experience based on site specific safety conditions and requirements.-
- Participate in the hiring of temporary foreign employees including the LMIA process, facilitating the introduction of incoming foreign employees to the company, and assisting with settlement arrangements as needed.- Provide a positive employee experience by assisting new hires with the onboarding process including new hire paperwork, online training and orientations.- Participate in workforce planning meetings with the business and external groups.- Coordinate travel for employees, source and arrange accommodations where required.- Complete and organize Project Site Orientations for new hires which may include safety orientation.- Conduct verification of required certifications and licenses.- Issue letters of hours and employment, when required for employee banking, and trade certifications.- Coordinate applicable training and notify individuals of pertinent details and requirements.

What We Are Looking For- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business or related field.- 2-4 years’ experience in a Human Resources role preferably in a construction, industrial maintenance or similar organization.- Experience working in a high pace, onboarding environment for skilled trades and labor positions.- Familiarity with the dynamics, operations, processes and organizational interdependencies of construction and industrial services.- Knowledge of sourcing, selection and staffing strategies, programs, vendors and tools.- Understanding of workforce-related federal and provincial employment laws and regulations.- A proven track record of successful hiring and retention.- Familiarity with international recruitment and the LMIA process.- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.- Superior customer service orientation.- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.- Superior written and verbal communication skills.- Supportive of a culture that encompasses the highest ethical standards aligned with the company promise.
