**THE ROLE**

As the **HR Business Partner (People Partner) **you will support our Canadian operations team and have an excellent opportunity to make your mark and grow your career. In collaboration with our Canadian and US People & Culture teams, you will create a partnership across the business units to deliver value-added services through the employee lifecycle. You will champion a diverse workforce and foster a culture of continuous improvement through performance management. You will be a hands-on partner with the departments you support, and you will be a coach and mentor for others.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
- Be a partner to the business operations teams while providing best in class Human Resources (HR) advice and support.
- Work closely with the HR Leadership team and support in the development and execution of our People strategy, acting as a conduit for information between the business and HR leadership for portfolio.
- Ensure hiring plans are executed by working with the talent acquisition team to execute full cycle recruitment.
- Provide direction to HR Coordinator(s) to ensure business transactions are completed, new hires are onboarded and HRIS entries are completed and audited.
- Work directly with leaders to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for the People & Culture team to provide support.
- Drive strategic discussions with leadership teams on workforce planning, productivity, employee relations and team engagement.
- Advise and coach leaders when managing employee relation issues within their teams and people related metrics.
- Coach managers on performance management processes such as performance reviews, ongoing development discussions, and performance improvement plans.
- Conduct internal investigations and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Identify improvements to existing policies, procedures, and programs to support the company’s growth and business initiatives. Communicate People & Culture policies, procedures, and programs to employees.
- Provide support in developing and implementing corporate-wide programs.
- Manage all employee lifecycle change including preparing employee transactions, letters, exit interviews etc.
- Contribute to the development of new People & Culture initiatives and projects.
- Learn something new every day.

**WHAT WILL YOU NEED?**
- Human Resources Education (Diploma/Certificate/Degree) with 3-6 years related and progressive experience in Human Resource.
- Exposure to and further interest in developing within a broad range of HR functions, including managing full-cycle recruitment, investigations, performance management, and leadership partnering.
- Experience working within multi-provincial legislation.
- Grit, resilience, and tenacity to overcome complex issues, challenges, and obstacles.
- Ability to initiate and build collaborative and strong partnerships with Operations. Proven experience and patience to build relationships with business leaders to elevate the service level expectations and experience.
- A communicator at heart with a keen eye for attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Adaptability with comfort living in the grey and the ability to take other’s perspectives and objectives into consideration. Executing our day-to-day work can be a sprint but achieving our goals and executing our strategy is a journey.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Must complete & pass a criminal record check.

- To be willing and comfortable working full time in office.
