**Core Function**

Provide support, advocacy and training for foster families, maintain communication with all involved in foster care, maintain files and documentation and conduct activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

**Duties of this position include but are not limited to**
- Communicate with clients / customers and associates in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, which may be developed and implemented from time to time and in accordance with funding contracts as required.
- Provide support and advocacy for foster families and children, including cultural resources.
- Attend to home visitations and provide one-on-one contact and conferencing as required.
- Prepare and submit reports and documentation and accurately maintain case files in a timely manner.
- Provide up-to-date training for foster parents.
- Maintain communication with Case Managers and others involved with foster families.
- Co-ordinate conferences and meetings as required.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with established procedures, including all licensing requirements.
- Continuously search and update knowledge on community resources that would benefit clients and provide referrals accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

1. Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check.

2. Required to work flexible hours, travel regularly and to act on an “on-call” basis as determined by Program Manager.

3. Must possess a Class 5 Driver’s License, possess a clean driving record and have access to a personal vehicle which will pass a safety inspection.

Preferences:
1. Preferred RSW, Social Work Diploma or Degree, or Human Services Degree, or Psychology

2. Must have an understanding and/or experience with aboriginal culture

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
