**1. Purpose of the position**

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Financial Control, the Analyst is responsible for maintaining and controlling the financial portions under his responsibility. He also ensures the analysis of discrepancies, follow-ups with the various departments and the head office and monthly reporting. He participates in the annual budget process and updates shift forecasts for the tasks under his responsibility.

**2. Main functions**
- Participates in the various stages of month-end closing and the preparation of journal entries for the tasks under his responsibility
- Carry out reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet items;
- Is in contact with all the services of the site for the development and the follow-up of the reporting, the budgets, the updates of the quarterly forecasts and the financial processes
- Performs a detailed analysis of the various income statement accounts and explains the variances from the budget and updates quarterly forecasts and monitors with the internal partners of the departments concerned on a monthly basis
- Participates / suggests the implementation of corrective actions
- Fills in the data and comments in the various financial reports
- Ensures compliance with accounting standards, SOX and internal procedures
- Collaborates in internal and external control checks for the tasks under his responsibility
- Suggest, implement and optimize work tools and financial reports
- Be actively involved in all continuous improvement projects within the department

No budget to manage. Expenses to be incurred are the responsibility of the Principal Service Manager.

Line manager: Senior Manager, Financial Control - AI

**6. Knowledge and skills required**:
a) Required training

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce with professional designation CMA, CGA, CA an asset

b) Languages

French and English (written and spoken)

c) Special experience and knowledge

Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance and financial control

d) Specific technical skills
- Mastery of the Office suite (Excel)Advanced
- SAP, HFM, PowerPoint

e) Behavioral Competencies
- Demonstrate rigor and autonomy
- Have attention to detail and accuracy
- Ease of working in a team and leadership
- Sense of organization and responsibility
- Respect of deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
