Sales Development Representative

**Job Purpose**
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a **frontline sales role** that involves identifying new opportunities, handling inbound leads, nurturing marketing leads into sales qualified leads, and contributing to the sales pipeline. This role is primarily focused on turning marketing qualified leads into sales qualified leads. The role is office based.
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**
Essential:
- This is an entry level role ideally suited to someone who is looking to pursue a career in sales.
- A self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong prioritization skills.
- IT literate preferably with working knowledge of CRM systems but this is not essential.
- A confident and professional telephone manner with proven experience of establishing new business relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience of working as part of sales team.
- Previous experience in or knowledge of the health & safety industry.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a similar role.
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**
- Create Sales Qualified Leads (SQL’s).
- Prospecting for new business by cold calling and generating new leads, handling the inbound sales requests, and following up on existing opportunities.
- Prioritize and qualify existing leads within the CRM database that may be generated from tradeshows, tele-sales, marketing, referrals, website, consultants, and call campaigns.
- Categorize potential customers, in line with the Customer Categorization Model.
- Work collaboratively with the NBDM providing support where required and booking appointments.
- Send quotes to customers and proactively following up in a timely manner.
- Ensure all internal systems (CRM & ERP) and databases are updated timely and accurately.
- Actively participate in internal and external meetings where attendance is required.

**Scope of Impact**
Depending on the maturity and geographic size of their main entity the SDE role may have a defined area, a designated NBDM, or be targeted to a specific vertical market (i.e., industry type). (approximately 100 - 200 sites)
**Core Business Responsibilities**
- Ensure that you, your colleagues and any visitors conduct yourselves with due regard to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, procedures and Safe Systems of Work when on site;

- Undertake any additional reasonable tasks instructed by a member of the Executive and Senior Management team;
