**THE POSITION**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for overseeing the operations of designated programming and ensuring their success such as, and not limited to youth, art, day camps.
- Manages unionized employees and independent contractors.
- Ensure employees are trained in all aspects of their job.
- Develop and implement programs and services that meet to the needs of the community.
- Responsible for communication with residents, organizations, and internal City departments.
- Develops and improves customer service on an ongoing basis for clients and internal customers.
- Creates, develops and enhances policies and procedures related to the Department.
- Responsible for tracking designated budgets in collaboration with your supervisor.
- Ensures correct content for monthly reports and statistical reporting.
- Participate in the City events offered by the Recreation Department.
- Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8h30-16h30. Flexible hours are necessary at certain times.

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of the principles, objectives, strategies and implications of Recreation in a community setting.
- Familiar knowledge of the City and its resident-base.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and French are a must.
