WCLC is currently looking to add a results driven** IS Security Analyst** to our Video Lottery Division in Saskatoon. This division manages the operation of Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) in the province of Saskatchewan and is looking for someone to ensure the effective implementation, evaluation, and troubleshooting of IS Security initiatives and protocols.
- This position will require the successful applicant to participate in a rotational on-call schedule.

In joining our team as an IS Security Analyst, you’ll be accountable to
- Monitor computer networks for security issues, suspicious or abnormal events, and investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents; document security breaches and assess levels of damage where applicable.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Perform penetration testing.
- Research security enhancements and make improvement recommendations to leadership.
- Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture as well as enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
- Participate in the planning and design of an enterprise business continuity plan, disaster recovery plan and enterprise risk management activities.
- Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
- Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures and practices.
- Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (e.g., workstations, servers, network devices).
- Process end user access requests and review access as necessary.
- In collaboration with IT Departments, evaluate, implement, and maintain security features/functions/patching and controls on IT systems.
- Perform periodic vulnerability assessments on new and existing IT systems to identify, document, and mitigate risks on WCLC systems.
- Troubleshoot system, resource, network, and user access as required.
- Liaise with other departments and users regarding information technology security issues/troubles.

**Qualifications**
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science and/or two years equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment.
- Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- Experience with network security solutions i.e., Fortinet, SolarWinds, MDR, EDR, PAM
- Experience with Office 365 security and compliance systems.
- Previous IT Security experience and/or certification preferred (CISSP, GIAC, CCSP)
- Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Linux, etc., an asset.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, networking, incident response, and data governance concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Good understanding of, and experience in implementing cybersecurity practices aligned to the NIST cybersecurity framework would be a definite asset

**Who we are**

WCLC’s VLT division is contracted by LGS (Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan) to manage and operate VLTs in Saskatchewan. The VLT division operates 4,200 VLTs across the province, and WCLC provides training, installation, and maintenance of the VLTs, as well as a central operating system.

WCLC is the non-profit organization authorized to manage, conduct, and operate lottery and gaming-related activities at retail and online for the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba as well as The Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
