**JOB TITLE**
- Membership Activities Manager, Latin America aka/Regional Activities Manager
**THE LOCATION**
- Remote US (with some limitations) or Canada (Alberta or Ontario provinces only)
**THE ORGANIZATION**
- You can take pride knowing that you will be working with the largest individual-member organization serving managers, engineers, scientists, and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas industry - a vital energy and material resource. SPE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with members and operations around the world.
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- Does working with a mission-based global organization and contributing to our Sections and Student Chapters in Latin America and the Caribbean sound rewarding? Would you enjoy traveling within these regions or other areas as required? If you are fluent in English and Spanish language skills, you would provide support for the SPE Regional Director and SPE members in these regions, as well as North America when required. This includes membership retention and growth, project management of all SPE student and member regional programs, volunteer acquisition, and the provision of direct support for local sections and chapters.

**THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE IN THIS ROLE**
- ** Sections **an**d student chapters support **within the assigned regions. Work with struggling sections and chapters to establish business plans, sponsorship packages, and guidance on how to operate and run their sections.
- ** Membership growth **- identify opportunities and develop business plans in assigned regions.
- ** M**arketing materials development** for regional programs distribution in conjunction with the Global Member Programs and Services and Marketing teams.
- ** R**egional section officer meetings facilitation** - includes venue arrangements, agenda formation and circulation, inviting and confirming attendees, minute taking and follow-up actions.
- ** Regional Awards program management - **coordinate judging, sourcing of awards, distribution of awards, and provide local committees with presentation material to celebrate winners of all regional awards within assigned regions.
- ** S**tudent Paper Contest** - organize regional contest according to established rules and regulations.
- ** V**o**l**unteer champion for office staff and committees** - support assigned regions and manage all onsite volunteers at relevant regional programs.
- ** A**n**nual orientation and program review** - support the Regional Director and ensure awareness and preparation for all program assignments.
- ** Regional and global programs** **presentations** - facilitate at the SPE Annual Technical Conference as required, including but not limited to section, chapter and council officer meetings.
- ** SPE President support** - accompany SPE President during official visits within assigned regions as necessary.
**YOUR EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERTISE**
- Degree holder, with a focus on management, events and/or marketing
- Sufficient related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluency in English and Spanish language is required.
- Cultural understanding and first-hand experience working with professionals in assigned regions, preferably with an understanding of the regional higher educational systems.
- Significant experience working with high level executives including Board Members of international organizations.
- Significant experience with customer facing roles and experience working with clients and stakeholders. Working with volunteers, non-profit committees or membership-based organization is a plus.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage a multitude of programs and tasks. Management skills may include facilitating meetings, developing business plans and marketing materials, organizing award programs, and ensuring policy compliance.
