- Conduct research
- Advise on policies and physical, social and psychological interrelationships between persons, their equipment and environments
- Ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity and comfort

- Provide consulting services to government and other organizations
- Establish internal programs within schools, business and industry to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment
- Report and document investigations and conclusions/recommendations
