Community Living Alternative Services (CLAS) is committed to promoting the development and wellbeing of individuals who have developmental disabilities, to strengthen positive relationships between individuals and their community, and to promote inclusive living.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed leader to join our Residential Support team as a Residential Support Care **Program Coordinator in Calgary, Alberta.** The Program Coordinator is an operational leadership role with responsibility for coordinating a set of services or programs within our agency. Although there may be some direct contact with the individuals accessing our services while dealing with service coordination issues, the role is primarily administrative in addition to being **higher-level leadership.**

Key aspects of the role include the development and implementation of process guidelines, service monitoring and evaluation, service delivery coordination and intervention, budget administration and management, funding proposal development, managing new intake stages, setting staffing levels and requirements, mentorship of new and existing staff, and community liaising. This role will take on various responsibilities depending upon the number of homes overseen and scope of services provided. Demonstrated leadership experience of an elevated nature in the developmental delay and/or disability support sector is required.
- **Mainstream Duties & Responsibilities**_
- Lead and participate in the development of operational and service delivery plans and budgets relative to a particular service area or group of related services, in accordance with the organization’s strategic mandate and priorities.
- Prepare, in collaboration with others as appropriate, operational procedures and guidelines, communication plans, implementation/initiation strategies; this includes ensuring that accreditation standards are met.
- Ensure that service evaluation criteria are implemented, managed and communicated effectively, and that services are monitored, evaluated and managed in a manner that optimizes opportunities for the individuals being served and deployment/utilization of agency resources.
- Participate in the development and implement effective invoicing and financial management procedures and processes.
- Lead and coordinate staffing/human resource planning relative to a particular service area or group of related services.
- Ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are in place and operating effectively to facilitate staff recruitment, orientation, performance planning, assessment/evaluation, and professional development.
- Provide leadership and support to supervisors, team leaders, direct service staff, and associated administrative staff.
- Present course material and development/training information, and ensure proper procedures are being followed. Conduct assessment and validation activities/exams and formal training plan reviews or updates as applicable.
- Promote and advocate on behalf of the agency, agency services, the direct service/support resource team and the individuals supported. This may include issue and conflict management and resolution between and among agency staff, as well as between the organization and other service providers, funders, families/guardians, and other community and government stakeholders.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records. This includes coordinating, analyzing, and integrating required case load documentation, and reporting results and actions in an objective and timely manner.
- Work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Occasionally perform On-Call duties as needed, after hours, and/or during weekends to provide direction to frontline staff or Supervisors.

**Formal Education**: Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Social Services, Psychology, Disability Studies, or other humanities-related fields.

**Experience**:5 or more years of experience working in the supportive care sector involving demonstrated leadership progression including, but not limited to**:

- Developed and established operational leadership skills relative to planning, implementation, evaluation, and management of service locations and staff.
- Demonstrated managerial level leadership, team-building, and related skills and aptitudes, including strong coaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to employ effective conflict resolution and mediation techniques.
- Advanced levels of communications skills both written and oral, consistently displaying professionalism and business acumen at all times.

**Hours**: You will primarily be working Monday to Friday, regular business hours, with the majority being in-office work (at our head office location). You will also need to answer your phone after hours in cases of emergency.

**Other Necessities**:

- A valid Class 5 or better driver's license issued in Canada
- A reliable vehicle and personal liability insurance
