This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - **Development**

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team to support Good Shepherd events and coordinating third-party events.

**How You Will Make an Impact**

In this role, you will assist with the operation of the Sponsor Our Families seasonal program, create custom virtual food drives for community groups, and provide necessary materials and support for food, clothing, or hygiene drives.

You will attend cheque presentations, participate in photo ops with community groups, and coordinate with the Venture Centre for large-scale donation pick-ups. Ensuring community members are properly recognized for their fundraising efforts, inviting, coordinating, and managing donor tours, and giving presentations on the impact of donations at schools and churches are key aspects of this role.

Regularly contacting and thanking donors, tracking community initiatives in Raiser's Edge, entering all Gifts in Kind into Raiser's Edge, and organizing in-house staff events as required are also critical responsibilities.

**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
- Post secondary education in a related field
- At least 2-5 years' experience in a similar capacity
- A demonstrated commitment to the values of Hospitality, Quality, Adaptability, Responsibility, Availability and Dignity.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, a high level of verbal and written communication skills, advanced technical skills working with databases and media.
- Experience in working with MS Office (Excel, Word, PP) and users knowledge and experience with Raisers Edge.
- Demonstrated experience in developing event materials.
- Proven leadership ability, knowledge and experience to work independently taking responsibility for programs, and experience working within a team for special projects and events.
- Organized and able to manage competing tasks and a variety of events.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Fluency in a second language is considered an asset. Driver's license and access to a vehicle is also required.
- To observe all Good Shepherd health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd
