Edmonton, Canada Chrysalis: An Alberta Society For Citizens With Disabilities Full time

Act as an ambassador of Chrysalis market Chrysalis and clients with community partners, committees,

associations and at company events that may occur outside of your regular working hours.

2. Collaborating with Communications, Marketing and Fund development to use a wide range of media to

build and sustain a positive image for Chrysalis through planned events, campaigns and activities.

3. Work closely with board members, community partners, specialists and Chrysalis staff on planning and

organizing, and implementing art events.

4. Day to Day oversight of the art facility at Chrysalis.

5. Work closely with specialists and Chrysalis staff on planning and organizing people accessing service events,

such as Annual Art Show(s), art exhibitions, and lesson plans.

6. Support people accessing service to explore a wide range of mediums and techniques following creative

process as identified under process-focused art and human centred design.

7. Prepare and facilitate lesson plans including purchasing required materials, setup, facilitation and

cleanliness of the art programs and space that supports meaningful independence.

8. Lead the Edmonton and chair Edmonton Art Committee, providing recommendations and oversight.

9. Support people accessing service with pricing and displaying created art for sale.

10. Explore resources and opportunities for people accessing service to participate and engage in art related

events, sales, exhibitions, and workshops.

11. Provide training to staff and volunteers who support people accessing service in the art room.

12. Foster positive relationships with art communities, build a connection with venues for hosting our events

and display arts created by Chrysalis artists.

13. Implementation of Art Program budget including material tracking, purchasing, and maintenance of art

room and materials.

14. Recruit and supervise summer art students and volunteers.

15. Facilitate art related workshops and training for both staff and people accessing service with the support of

the multidisciplinary team.

Help identify people accessing service personal and artistic goals and assess their skills and interests from a

human-centred design perspective.

17. Understand and engage resources and tools and partnerships available in the community to enhance and

develop persons accessing service skills and knowledge in relation to art.

18. Build and maintain professional relationships with community partners based on mutual respect, trust and

honesty by means of dialogue, action and relationship development in alignment with Chrysalis core values.

19. Support people accessing service to become aware of their rights and support them to advocate for their

rights when needed. Recognize and take follow-up action if there are signs of abuse.

20. Analyze community and partnership sites for accessibility and values that promote meaningful

independence in alignment with Chrysalis process-focused art.

21. Provide training and support that helps people accessing service learn their tasks and identify factors that

are likely to have an impact on their success.

22. Maintain clear, objective records of plans of action, progress and recommendations for the person

accessing service and others.

23. Communicate effectively with other members of the people accessing service support networks in a timely,

accurate and respectful way.

24. Prepare and deliver reports and various documents (i.e. presentations, month ends, contact notes etc.)
