**Maintenance Shop Technician**

We are currently looking for a full time **Maintenance Shop Technician** to join our growing team
Our ideal hire would have an in-depth understanding of construction machinery and vehicle maintenance.
**_As a_ Maintenance Shop Technician_, you will be responsible for:_**
- Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and annual safety inspections as required
- Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently within the time allotted and in accordance with legislated standards
- Install and repair specialized vehicle accessories and safety equipment
- Order and receive replacement or repair parts as directed and keep stock area in neat and tidy condition
- Use hand tools to carry out maintenance and repair duties
- Accurately complete forms, reports and input/retrieve information into Fleet Management System
- May be required to perform emergency roadside repairs
- Attend training courses as required
- Province of Ontario Motor Vehicle License 310T is strongly preferred
- Must hold Ontario Vehicle Operator’s Permit Class “G” in good standing
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Must be able to complete various work forms and prepare simple written reports
- Experience, preferably in Fleet Maintenance environment dealing with a variety of light and heavy vehicles and up to date on automotive electronics
- Experience with diagnostic equipment, ie: scanners, digital meters, tire balancers, brake lathes, and AC filling and testing equipment
