**Job Title**: Maintenance Technician (Industrial Electrician License 442A required)

**Reports To**: Maintenance Manager

**Shift**: Afternoon shift

We are looking for a skilled industrial maintenance technician to assist in maintenance of production and packaging equipment. As maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include performing regular preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

To ensure success as a maintenance technician, you should have mechanical/ electrical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills and good time-management skills.

Industrial Electrician License 442A is required.

**Role/ Responsibilities**:

- Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments
- Processing equipment: Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of conveyors, vibratory shakers, pumps, hoists, HVAC equipment and other food processing machinery.
- Packaging equipment: Trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of VFFS baggers, multi head scales, labelers, metal detectors, check weighers and tray sealing machinery.
- A minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience required, preferably in the food industry.
- Adjust machinery setting and repair or replace defective parts.
- Read equipment manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to assist in machinery maintenance.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery using hand and power tools.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Diagnose and trouble shoot electrical issues (motors/ PLCs/ control panels etc.)
- Any other duties as assigned.

- Food Safety/Security - Works in compliance with all applicable GMP and Food Safety policies and procedures as set out by the Company and relevant legislation including HACCP regulations.

**Physical Requirements**

**Qualifications/Certificates/Skills/Job Requirements**:

- Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) mandatory
- Packaging machinery maintenance experience (tray sealers, VFFS baggers, labelers, metal detectors etc.)
- Completion of secondary school
- Five years industrial maintenance experience desired, preferably in food industry
- Refrigeration Class B operator certificate or millwright license desirable by not mandatory

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$42.00 per hour
