A **Mechanical Maintenance Technician**is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of plant equipment for **Kisko Products.**Theymust have the ability to perform a variety of skilled tasks commonly associated with the preventative maintenance, repair, and knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Trouble shooting and diagnosing problems with the plant machinery and facility in general
- Building control panels to specified requirements
- Make modifications to machines as required
- Maintain machinery, all electrical cables and auxiliary equipment in a safe operating condition
- Assist in the development, construction and installation of new electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Follow the lockout procedures.
- Follow the safety rules and precautionary measures: using protective equipment’s etc.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Ability to operate machine shop equipment
- Ability to respond to equipment problems in a professional and timely manner
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and conduct PM program according to standards.
- Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems.
- Practice lean manufacturing.
- Ability to handle equipment changeover, set up, take down and relocation of all packaging equipment.
- Interpret technical specifications and draft detail drawing or sketches for parts fabrication by machine and workshops.
- Set-up and operate drill press, grinders, belt sanders, or other machines to tap holes, modify parts or to fabricate experimental parts for testing.
- Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or products.
- Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products, such as industrial machinery or equipment, and measuring instruments.
- Read dials and meters to determine linear measurements, amperage, voltage, electrical output and input at specific operating temperature to analyze parts performance.
- Discuss changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance.
- Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods.
- Set up prototype and test apparatus and operate test controlling equipment to observe and record prototype test results.
- Considering the nature and high degree of importance of the operations, respond to equipment problems and failures in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform and suggest training needs for personnel for upward growth.
- Assist technicians as needs be and as the team requires.
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be computer

**Skills & Qualification Required**:

- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in associated field
- Experience in food manufacturing industry
- Experience working with vertical form filling and seal machines, horizontal flow wrap machines, cartoners, case erectors and case tapers
- Knowledge and experience with pneumatic systems.
- Ability to modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of packaging & process equipment relating to food manufacturing.
