**About Good Roads’ Training**

The Training Coordinator position is part of a Skills Development Fund grant that the Association received from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. The downside is that this is a contract position. The upside is that it comes with some perks such as three weeks of vacation, professional development and a $1,000 wellness benefit.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills, as well as a passion for contributing to other people’s personal and professional growth. Strong attention to detail, understanding of adult learning principles, and the ability to adapt and prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment are key assets.

2. Coordinates the activities of course directors, curriculum development committees and individual course instructors to develop and revise content of courses (PPTs, PDFs, Word, and InDesign documents).

3. Document changes to curricula including documentation of intended learning outcomes, teaching & learning resources, teaching and learning strategies, and formative and summative student evaluation strategies.

4. Communicate with volunteer instructors to ensure on time delivery of course updates and material for print.

5. Coordinate with printer, venue, catering and other vendors to ensure smooth running of in-person courses.

6. Assists in the development of student resource materials (student books and binders).

7. Participates in the marketing and promotion of the association’s activities at conferences and trade shows as required.

8. Assists in the coordination, development, and delivery of workshops at the association’s annual conference.

9. Executes other duties as assigned.

CREDENTIALS SOUGHT

1. Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Human Resources, or Communications. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience working in the Public Works an asset.

2. Ability to communicate fluently both orally and in writing. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff, course instructors, curriculum development committee members, and other Association contacts.

3. Highly organized and detail-oriented, while using effective project and time management skills.

4. Working knowledge of adult education principles and educational program design/delivery practices.

5. Tech savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Zoom, MS Planner, Acrobat, and InDesign. Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Bright Space LMS, and other common eLearning tools is an asset.

6. Class ‘G’ driver’s license, in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use on Association business.

7. Availability to work flexible/extended hours to accommodate travel requirements, conduct off-site training sessions, attend special events when necessary.

8. Experience coordinating volunteers is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $67,500.00 per year
