St Catharines, Canada Camp SHOUT! Full time

Camp SHOUT’s Youth Development Coordinator (YDC) is employed for 200 hours over the course of a 5-6 week period. The YDC creates and facilitates a volunteer program for youth aged 11-15 and helps volunteers have an enjoyable experience helping out at camp.

**The YDC will**:

- Facilitate youth volunteer registration, scheduling and task assignment
- Work with the camp’s Program Coordinator to integrate volunteers into camp activities
- Serve as a liaison to other staff in their commitment to support LIT success
- Run leadership development activities with the LITs
- Support LITs for the duration of camp, help to identify areas for growth and create plan for improvement for those areas
- Have previous experience in coordinating a volunteer workforce
- Be able to work independently as well as a part of a group
- Have demonstrated leadership ability
- Be passionate about empowering youth
- Foster skills in collaboration, teamwork and leadership
- Be Christ loving, responsible, patient, dependable, mature, and independent
- Be able to make decisions and act with integrity, all while being fun, approachable, energetic and creative

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 5/6 weeks

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- G2/G Licence (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
