We have a great opportunity for a driven, customer service focused individual to join our Condominium Janitorial team in creating safe and welcoming environments for our clients and their customers.

The Area Manager is responsible for working collaboratively with all departments to ensure SDA’s high standards of performance are met and maintained.

**2. Maintains and Grows Assigned Janitorial Accounts**

**3. Manages and Develops Employees and Subcontractors**

**4. Manages New Customer Account Set-up**

**5. Champions Health and Safety**

**Qualifications and Experience Needed to Succeed in this Role**
- Previous commercial janitorial and property maintenance experience
- Familiarity with janitorial practices, floor stripping, waxing and recoating methods for commercial buildings
- Able to train team members in the use of equipment such as vacuums, auto-scrubbers and propane burnishers
- Ability to travel across the GTA to supervise the delivery of services
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, and evenings as needed for supervision of service delivery
- Knowledge of the Ontario Fire Code, Residential Tenancies Act, Privacy Act, Health and Safety standards, AODA, Ontario Building Code, and Municipal Property Standards By-Laws
- WHMIS certification is an asset
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities using sound judgement
- Dependability, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
- Strong attention to detail and responsiveness to changing priorities
- Passion for a job well done and making a difference
- Ability to listen, understand, and respond to issues appropriately
- An approachable style with the ability to work with individuals in different roles
- Proficient English speaking and writing skills; other languages are an asset
- Strength to lift, as part of daily tasks, items up to 50 lbs./23 kg
- Capability to perform work requiring driving, standing, walking, crouching bending, kneeling as well as repetitive tasks
- Intermediate level computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Eligibility to work in Canada with current documentation

**Experience**:

- commercial cleaning: 5 years (preferred)
- janitorial services supervision: 2 years (preferred)
- training use of janitorial equipment: 2 years (preferred)
- condominium janitorial: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
- Health & Safety certification (preferred)
- Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)

Work Location: On the road
