**Position Summary and Scope of Service**:

Reporting to the Director, Clinical Services and consistent with the Mission, Values and policies of St.Amant, the Manager, Jordan's Principle Social Work and Counselling Services is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations.

The Manager, Jordan's Principle Social Work and Counselling embraces the goal of Jordan's Principle to ensure that all children with disabilities have access to the health and social services they need in their community. This position is based in Winnipeg, however regular travel to Indigenous communities in Manitoba is required for duties related to supervision, collaboration with stakeholders, and community events.

Responsibilities of the Manager, Jordan's Principle Social Work and Counselling Services include: promoting an excellent customer service focus in the provision of Social Work and Counselling Services to clients, staff and in other professional relationships; performing all duties professionally, ethically and with integrity; and taking an active role and personal responsibility for continuous learning to promote knowledge and best practices in the provision of Social Work and Counselling Services.

The Manager, Jordan's Principle Social Work and Counselling Services is expected to help identify and contribute to matters of importance or relevance to Clinical Services as a whole. This may include strategic planning, education and training, ethics, community relations and partnerships, quality improvement, risk management, service evaluation and accountability, clinical support services or issues related to human, financial or physical resources. As a Leader in Clinical Services, the Manager, Jordan's Principle Social Work and Counselling Services is also expected to disseminate information about their area of clinical practice and promote St.Amant Clinical Services both within the organization and externally to community partners, customers, and the general public. Beyond this, the Manager, Jordan's Principle Social Work and Counselling Services facilitates the overall quality and value of all programs and services within St.Amant and ensures that clinical staff who report to them provide beneficial support, information, and leadership to other members of the organization whenever possible.

**Qualifications**

**Educational**:

- Master's degree in Social Work or Counselling (or equivalent) from an accredited university (a combination of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and appropriate professional experience may also be considered)
- Current registration and membership in good standing with the Provincial regulatory body or professional association
- Meets all competency and continuing education requirements of the professional licensing body

**Professional**:

- Minimum of two years' experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership position
- Demonstrates practical and innovative problem solving skills in response to client or program needs
- Demonstrates ability to promote, model and support collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork
- Knowledge and experience with the practice of Quality Improvement (QI) in a complex environment
- Knowledge of current legislation, philosophy and service trends in the area of developmental disabilities for children and adults
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient with technology
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and training to staff, clients, family members and community partners

**Clinical**:

- Minimum of five years' clinical experience, preferably in the area of developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of the history of services to people with disabilities as well as cur
