**The opportunity**:
Reporting to the Head of Ongomiizwin and the Vice Dean Indigenous Health, Social Justice and Anti Racism, the primary function of this position involves the project management within the Indigenous Institute of Health and Healing (IIHH). Under the direction of the Vice Dean Indigenous, Social Justice and Anti Racism and the Head of Ongomiizwin the incumbent of this position will develop and manage projects derived from the following committees, meetings and events:

- COVID-19 Health and Safety Committee
- Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Safety Training (MICST)
- TRC meetings
- Ongomiizwin Annual Report
- Joan and Dean Sandham Scholarship in Indigenous Health Professional Leadership
- Department Head’s Performance Reviews
- Medicine Operational Plan-Indigenous Respect & Achievement Priority

The position will have 0.50 FTE dedicated to the following:

- Supporting the advancement of anti-racism projects
- Supporting aspects of the Faculty TRC Action Plan

The incumbent shall demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; high level of demonstrated interpersonal skills, the ability to assume responsibility and to work on own initiative, setting priorities and make independent judgments on sensitive and confidential matters.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIGENOUS CANDIDATES. APPLICANTS MUST SELF-DECLARE ON THEIR COVER LETTER/RESUME AS INDIGENOUS (FIRST NATION, METIS AND/ OR INUIT).
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related study area is required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Five years directly related experience is required
- Proven working experience in project management is required
- Experience leading teams and delivering project outcomes is required
- Knowledge translation experience/expertise is required
- High level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required
- Knowledge of the Reconciliation Action Plan essential
- Experience in the development and advancement of anti-racism projects essential
- Knowledge of University regulations, programs and procedures, especially as they relate to the Section of First Nations Métis and Inuit Health essential
- Experience working in a First Nations, Métis or Inuit Healthcare setting required.
