Reporting to the Director, ICAMP and Corporate, Community and Alumni Partnership and Canadore/Executive Director, Canadore Foundation, the Manager is responsible for the development and management of a meaningful alumni engagement program that is focused on increasing lifelong connections that help advance the mission and vision of Canadore College.

The incumbent is the primary contact for donors who have established endowed funds will identify, evaluate, cultivate and solicit major gifts of over $100,000 while stewarding a diverse portfolio of accounts and donor relationships at the annual and leadership giving levels.

The Manager is the primary liaison between the College and its 60,000 plus alumni, collaborating with colleagues in the academic and non-academic units to create and maintain pathways for alumni communication and participation that are fully aligned and integrated with the College’s strategic directions and goals.

As a champion of alumni engagement and Foundations, participating in activities that engage alumni and donors on and off campus, Manager will enhance and shape the strategies to further engage alumni, friends and affinity partners while supporting the College’s commitment to its 5 Pillars; _Student Success, Program and Service Excellence, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Connection to Community and Sustainability_.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Fundraising**_
- Work with the Director/Executive to develop annual goals and objectives, develop and implement project campaigns, and establish and achieve fundraising goals and priorities for the Foundation
- Implement cultivation and solicitation strategies
- Maintain an active portfolio of prospects and donors
- Meet and brief community and business leaders regarding Foundation fundraising initiatives in order to solicit support
- Work with members of the team to prepare and submit corporate, foundation and government funding requests including letters of intent, proposals and presentations
- Organize and execute an institution-wide stewardship and fulfillment plan for corporate sponsors, and foundation clearly articulating responsibilities and delivers best-in-class stewardship on the use of funds
- In collaboration with the Fundraising Team, develop and implement an annual fund multi-year plan that aligns with the Canadore Foundation strategic plan positioned for year over year growth through the diversification of its activities and the increase in the number of donors
- Incorporate multi-channel fundraising and develop the fundraising content for the annual fund program and legacy giving activities in collaboration with the extended Fundraising Team
- Set annual targets to realize year-over-year increases, with associated annual budget to support overall fundraising targets
- Develop a robust tracking system and key performance metrics to measure the success of the annual fund program and various appeals
- Participate in major gift team meetings as required
- Oversee timely delivery of sponsors/donors benefits and recognition
- **Human Resource and General Administrative Leadership**_
- Manage and provide guidance with day-to-day activities including overseeing decision making and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner
- Provide leadership and direction to support staff resulting in motivated, customer-oriented, enthusiastic staff focused on optimizing alumni engagement and donor activity
- Optimize staff performance and support professional capacity through effective recruiting, selection, development, mentorship, coaching, workflow and goal setting, project planning and ongoing performance management
- Develop and deliver onboarding, training and professional development
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement among staff and collaborators
- Ensure the effective use of human, physical, and financial resources. Manage budget for Alumni & Foundation Programs and monitor staffing assignments and workload
- Make recommendations to the Director related to program and service delivery and all matters relating to fundraising activities
- Oversee budgetary control for Alumni & Foundation. Ensure that the budget is continuously monitored and all financial transaction are completed and approved in accordance with the college and foundation policies, and the annual budget cycle and Ministry grant policies

- Work closely with the Director/Executive Director in the development of a communications strategy and plan to bolster communication efforts with alumni
